I know it’s been a bit since we’ve been able to talk, but I miss you a lot. I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to write to let you know what I’ve been doing lately and to ask about you!

First off, most recently, Pete and I actually went to Thailand! We just got back. I know how much it means to you, considering all the times you went there and all the tattoos you have related to Buddhism. Plus, when you first showed me those videos of you and Hanna playing with the tiger cubs from like 2017, it inspired me a lot. We’ve both recently been getting more into Buddhism as well, so we figured it was time to actually go, just like you did. We both had some free time during the summer, so we booked a round trip flight and a hotel to stay at. Then, we packed our bags and drove to the airport. So, we went and stayed for a few weeks, and dude… it’s changed a lot since you’ve been there.

The thing that was probably the coolest about traveling in Thailand was all the new technology. They have these really cool AI robots that clean your hotel room when you’re away, bring you food, etc., and when you’re done, you can rate its performance. If you rate it well, it gets really happy! It’s the cutest thing. And, when we first got there, there was this robot that took all of our stuff to our room and sorted it for us so we didn’t have to unpack!! That saved us so much time.

Around town, you can rent out self driving cars too (which are either solar powered or fully electric, which is awesome for the environment). They’re at the charging stations fully charged when you rent them, and you just swipe your card or pay a few bucks and you’re good to go for all day! And, if for some reason you wanted to take public transportation, they had these really efficient shuttle buses that went back and forth between a few popular tourist destinations. They offered complimentary snacks and water, cushioned seats, and they had air conditioning which was so nice. Whenever we were on there, there weren’t many people either, surprisingly, which was a plus. There’s also ATMs in a few places that can exchange currency for free which is just really cool, because it can really get expensive to do that. And for food, they actually had some vegan fast food restaurants that we both loved!!! We ordered food ourselves, people would cook it, and then AI servants would bring it to us. It was a little weird, but it worked!

We obviously went to some Buddhist temples/monasteries, and they were beautiful. I can see why you became a monk and stayed there for so long. And, guess what? We visited this really cool tattoo place! They did that technique where, instead of using tattoo machines, they use those sharp sticks or whatever and stab your skin repeatedly. I didn’t get one, but Pete did, and he said it actually wasn’t as painful as a regular tattoo, so maybe I’ll get one when we go back.

I miss Thailand so much, man. I’m so glad I went! I really liked it there, and so did Pete. Everyone was so nice and I’m really impressed with all the new AI technology that’s been coming out over the recent years. We’ll have to go together sometime!! I know you’d love it (especially the vegan restaurants we went to. They were bomb). The hotel we stayed at was reasonably priced and had amazing service, so don’t worry about getting put in a cheap hostel or whatever (I’ve had to do that before and it sucked). I’m sure when we go together, though, things will have advanced even more, so I’m really excited!! I can’t wait to hear back from you.

I love and miss you so much. I apologize for not talking to you as much as I should. Everything’s just been so hectic for us lately. I know it’s not much of an excuse, but I hope you can understand. But, I am determined to spend more time with you, so let’s try and work something out, okay? Just let me know. Pete and I will cover all the travel expenses, too, so don’t worry about that. Hanna and Liam could come, too, if they wanted. We’ll be waiting to hear back from ya! Have a good rest of your day or night (or whenever you’re getting this).

Love,

Todd (and Pete)
