You would not believe how easy it is to travel now! I have always wanted to return to the Swiss Alps, and finally I have. I was inspired to return because I heard it is still beautiful and clean. Booking the trip was easy. I called up a booking app on my phone, and asked to see choices in my price range. My virtualized personal assistant knows how much money I make and save, and is able to access that information to determine how much I can afford for the trip, based on how long I want to go. It can also adjust if I decide I want to extend or shorten the trip.

8K video of the best hotels pop up on my phone. I wave my hand, and the videos emerge as a hologram (yes, we have VR without those awful headsets now, just a simple chip implant). Anyway, I immerse myself in the holograms of the various locations, feeling what it would be like to go there. I’m also able to smell a change in the air, and feel the briskness of the mountains. I can almost taste the fondue and swiss chocolate!  I wake choices to opposite sides – right for maybes and left for nos. Finally I select a beautiful hotel built into a mountain that can only be accessed by hovercraft! I put a hold on it for now – need to get flights!

After selecting the hotel, I move onto flights. Using my virtual assistant, I seek the flights that best match my dates and preferred times to travel. Then I ask for the best rated, safest airlines. When the choices appear, I pick one that has a good price, pay using my bitcoin account. Planes fly themselves now, though there is a pilot on hand in case the AI malfunctions (which is very rare).

On the day of my trip, I take an auto-driving car that I ordered from the phone app to the airport. Things have really seam lined there! No more long TSA lines because AI robots can detect ANYTHING that is prohibited on your person or in your bags. If forbidden substances or object are found, you and your bags are physically removed to the nearest security office for interrogation.

Travel is all paperless now, so no need to carry documents like passports or tickets. These are either scanned from your phone, or some people now have chips inside their hands that contain all pertinent information, so they don’t even need a phone! All their personal information is there: medical, banking, etc., and it’s so encrypted that only the correct parties can access that information. It’s terrific! And Criminals who try to hack that information have chips implanted (or updated, if they had one already) that lets police and any security team know about their crimes!

Anyway, I get on the plane, and it’s nice that we still have human flight attendants to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. Food and drinks are served; it’s not like the cheap flights of the past where they stopped having high quality food available. Now that things are streamlined, we are able to enjoy inflight meals again! Each seat is equipped with its own AI to personally see to your comfort, whether adjusting the seat, heating it, turning on a movie or music, you are taken care of. Also, there are calming apps to relax you. People have gotten so good at controlling their own emotions and relaxation that drugs are no longer necessary for sleep.

Once I arrive in Switzerland, a driverless car is there to take me to my hotel. I alerted it while still on the plane using my phone.

Once I get to the hotel, there are people to greet me.  Robots are on hand to move luggage to my room. The room has everything I need, including a massage chair that I can adjust to my preferences, and also turn 360 degrees, so I can look out at the view, watch TV, etc.

I turn on the VR-Vision so I can plan my activities. I can immerse myself in trailers that show me what I might expect, it’s amazing. When I want more, I am given the option to sign up for the event using a touch screen or voice activation. Again, I pay in bitcoin.

I make plans to go hiking on my own. I’m not worried, because my chip lets me know if I am in shape enough to do the hike I choose. It will give me a nasty beep if I choose something outside my healthy range. The fitness tracker also lets me know when I shouldn’t eat more of something, and send me a brain wave that gets rid of my craving for that food.

When I go to a restaurant, I am able to order portions in sizes that are right for me, no extra large portions I can’t eat. Also, I have a device that can detect if anything unhealthy is in the food before I eat it, like gluten, nuts, etc. It makes it very easy to take care of myself without thinking too much.

Overall, my vacation is relaxing, inspiring and exciting. Technology has helped me explore the world with ease, comfort and more time to focus on the things I do and see without the aggravations of the past!

Love,
